Patricia Jenkins Art Studio

Patricia Jenkins was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. There she attended the State University College at Buffalo for a BS and MS in Art Education.

Ms Jenkins taught Art and Gifted Education in the public schools for twenty years, worked in Human Resources for seven and currently runs a faux finishing and mural business called Fauxto Finish, Inc.

She has two grown children, and one grandchild. She and her husband, Jeff, live in the Roxborough community, near Denver, Colorado.

Her favorite media is bronze but she resorts to pastels, drawing, and painting to fund the “expensive bronze habit”.

There was only one case of Whooping Cough in Buffalo, New York in the winter of 1960; that was me.  I spent from Thanksgiving of that year until the beginning of 6th grade the next year, coughing my brains out and confined to my room.  There wasn't much to do in 1960, in your room, in Buffalo New York…so I drew…and drew and drew and drew.  By the time I returned to school , I was that child, the one that everyone asks to draw…draw  "a horse", draw " a car", draw " a funny picture of the teacher".  Art became my success story, and my expression of who I was.
